In brief…
Born in Rugby, where the game was invented 🏉. (Good ol’ William!).
The year was 1975, when quite a few things were going on! Like Maggie Thatcher…. nuff said! The war in Vietnam was just ending, but the war between Betamax and VHS was just starting, we know who won that don’t we? Er…Blockbusters! And on June 6th Britain had a referendum on joining the EU – Would you believe it?!!
I played Rugby for St Andrew RFC, scoring a try in my debut game within the first 30 seconds of the kick-off. I also served a few years in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces gaining valuable life skills, where I also played rugby for the working unit, all which I still talk about to this day, ‘Durin’ the war!’
